CNBC: Keystone Pipeline Set to Be Rejected by Obama
CNBC confirmed Wednesday the Obama administration will reject the TransCanada oil sands crude project.
After delaying the project past the November 2012 election, President Obama was compelled by Congress to decide by Feb. 21 on whether to approve the pipeline that would sharply boost the flow of oil from Canada’s oil sands.
Canada has oil to sell. If it cannot sell it to us, other nations will be more than happy to buy it.
The effect of blocking our access is to increase the price that Americans pay for oil, which hurts our economy. Many of the nations we will have to purchase oil from instead are not our friends. Buying oil from Iran and Venezuela is against our best interests and threatens our security.
It is almost as if the White House was occupied by a communist subversive intent on lessening, weakening, and ultimately destroying our republic.
